Welcome to IPAWS

The International Paramedic Anxiety Wellbeing and Stress study is the first multi-centre, international study of paramedic mental health and wellbeing ever undertaken. IPAWS will be following paramedic students who graduate from tertiary education in the 2017/18 academic year for the next five years to explore how their experiences shape paramedic health and wellbeing. We understand that the IPAWS graduating student group will be made up of new and experienced paramedics of all ages and that some graduates will find jobs in occupations other than frontline paramedicine, and that’s great! We are interested in ALL paramedic graduates – everyone is welcome!

Many colleges, polytechnics and universities from across the world are taking part in IPAWS. Some graduates will be completing their education with a diploma, others with a degree, depending on the gold-standard in any particular country.
